I had the Z at the track on Thursday afternoon for the first time since June. Went really well, this was the first event with my new Schroth harness setup and it made a massive difference. I could stand on the brakes without holding myself up and I definitely felt faster, although I didn't time any laps or record video.
The weather was a little cooler than the oppressively hot Houston temperatures we've been having this summer, it had rained in the early afternoon and there was even some standing water on track in some places. After the track warmed up and my tires warmed up it wasn't slippery (until a few laps later when my Pilot Sports got greasy and started sliding again). I was able to do roughly four 15-20 minute sessions, which was plenty. Now I have to do a bit of car maintenance and then it's off to MSR Cresson in two weekends.
In the paddock there was a gorgeous Jaguar E-Type. Always a treat.
